- Stimulate learning at home. Provide him with toys and books that will enable him to learn something new every day.
- Encourage a love for reading. Surround him with books and set aside a time for reading stories to him.
- Make use of visual aids like flash cards with pictures and letters.
- Show him how you draw illustrations, so that he will know how lines and other shapes create the image of an object or person.
- Show him how you write a list of things to do and review these with him.
- Let him look at charts, tables, and maps.
- Point to things while saying their names out loud.
- Make sure he eats well and gets enough sleep.

- Brain growth and development starts as early as the last trimester of pregnancy up to 2 to 3 years of age.
- 80% of what your child learns is acquired through seeing things.
- Preschool age children are like sponges; they are able to absorb information very quickly.
- The brain of a three-year-old is twice as active as that of an adult's. It's also much larger in size! This is why a child needs all the nutrients he can get from his diet, and of course, from his milk.
